Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists enable people to do the things that they need to, want to, or are expected to do in their lives.
Do you, or someone you care for, need assistance to participate in daily activities?
Occupational therapy aims to promote health and wellbeing by working with people to engage in their meaningful “occupations”, the every day activities that people do by themselves, with their families and friends, or in their community. At Mobilise, our Occupational Therapists can assist you to do the activities that you enjoy, despite your specific barriers. We have a special interest in helping people with chronic pain.
How do occupational therapists help?
Occupational therapists work with you by assessing occupational challenges, create a plan to address these challenges, and work with you to help you do the things that are important. This might mean focusing on building individual abilities, or adapting / modifying the activity, or the environment in which you are participating in the activity.
Occupational therapists (or “OTs”) at Mobilise work with adults who experience challenges with physical or mental health conditions, and have a passion for helping people with chronic pain and chronic conditions. Occupational therapy is a client-centred profession, and we will always strive to ensure that you feel respected and listened to, at all times.
